Since the foundation of Rome about 2,700 years ago, the city has been a force in the European history; first as the center of the Roman Empire and later has the center of the Catholic Church. That means that you will see relics of the ancient Rome wherever you go.

Coliseum in Rome is probably the most impressive relic of the ancient Rome. Here the 55,000 spectators could watch gladiator fights and fights against exotic, wild animals.

Emperor Vespasian ordered the building of the Coliseum in 72 AD. Then there were a lot of other coliseums around the Roman Empire; from El Djem in North Africa to Arles and Nimes in France. Since there has been missing maintenance, destructions and even theft; but the Coliseum is still a must see sight.

The St. Peter’s Basilica (also called St. Peter’s Cathedral) is another must see in Rome. And if there is one building, which defines the Vatican State, it is the St. Peter’s Basilica. It is just not the center of the smallest country in the world; it is also the center of the Catholic universe.

Today, the question on everybody’s mind is, what is the difference between a hybrid car and a conventional vehicle? There must be some good reason why people are debating whether hybrid cars are worth the money and checking their wallets and savings account to see if they can afford to buy a hybrid car.

There must be some reason why other people wouldn’t consider shelling out the money for a hybrid car because they feel their conventional car gets them to where they need to go just fine. Here are some of the reasons why a person might decide on a conventional car over a hybrid car and vice versa.

Hybrid cars are more expensive than conventional cars: because hybrid cars have a complex internal design, they do still have a fairly hefty price tag. On the other hand, conventional cars, which have gotten more efficient in design as the years have gone on, are quite affordable these days. Many people are selling their old conventional cars in favour of newer, more efficient versions.

Hybrid cars are on everyone’s minds these days. $20, $30, $40 or even $50 for a tank of fuel? Who in their right mind really wants to pay that sort of money? But, frustrated, the petrol consumer sighs, but pays up. However, hybrid vehicles are being applauded for the little amount of petrol they need to operate, and they are being driven off the forecourts of car dealerships each and everyday in ever increasing numbers.

So, what about a plug-in hybrid? Most consumers have heard that these cars are great as well. Then, a person might be asking him or herself, what exactly a plug-in hybrid is? How they work, and what the difference between a plug-in hybrid and a regular hybrid is?

Plug-in hybrids are able to run solely on batteries, but they use petrol also. These kinds of hybrid cars have some of the characteristics of hybrid vehicles. They are also are very similar to electric vehicles.

Plug-in hybrid cars need to be recharged externally by connecting a plug to an electrical power source. The combustion engine in plug-in hybrid vehicles is engaged only as a back up. These cars can run only on batteries if desired, but it is expected that these kinds of hybrid cars are recharged every day.

PostHeaderIcon Charms for Bracelets: As Limitless As The Stars

Astrology and astrological symbols can be found in almost every culture throughout the world. Charms that depict astrological signs are very popular additions to charm bracelets, plus for many people they are seen as good luck charms as well. Understanding the zodiac signs and how they came about is a great way to show your knowledge about these traditional types of charms.

The zodiac, literally translated, means the circle of life or the area in space around the earth through which the sun traces its path each year. Although in modern terms zodiac signs, as represented on charms, are designated by specific dates on the calendar as time, in the sky they actual represent the space. This space forms sections, which then are called by their zodiac name.

Always elliptical, the path of the zodiac never changes. The elliptical shape is divided into 12 segments that are equal in size and correspond to constellations within that space boundary. The symbols that are used now on charms and jewelry are the same as the symbols the first western astrologers selected thousands of years ago. Interesting enough almost all of the symbols represent some type of living form, although not all are actual living beings.
